"I’m delighted to be supporting the Christina Noble Foundation and the Tay Ninh Centre for Visually Impaired Children in Vietnam as it’s a charity that I can personally relate to.
The mission of The Christina Noble Foundation is to give all children their childhood by providing the necessary care and education and the Tay Ninh Centre ensures that those with a disability are not forgotten about.
By supporting the Tay Ninh Centre you are helping to give some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children a better start in life and providing an opportunity that they might not have had.
One person can make a difference and that One person might be You"
Join Sinead Kane for the Half Marathon you’ll never forget!
Sinead Kane is our Noble Ambassador for this year’s Rock and Roll Half Marathon on 13th August 2017 and supports our work for the Tay Ninh Centre for the Visually Impaired children.
The Tay Ninh Centre has the capacity to accommodate over 60 visually impaired children. It has been in operation for over 14 years and has gained the respect of the local community for the incredible changes and opportunities it offers to the children. Over 1,000 children have left the Tay Ninh Centre with the skills and capabilities to lead healthier and independent lives.
The high incidence of visual impairment within the community children has been attributed to several factors including use of defoliants, inadequate health education and monitoring, inadequate access to medical care and the high incidence of malnutrition.
Sinead is hoping to raise as much as she can to help keep this project operating for the children still suffering the terrible after effects of a war.
